Accomplishments
While in the Immigration Clinic, Ms. Rahgozar drafted and submitted motions before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
Additionally, Ms. Rahgozar’s professional work experience includes representing family and employment-based petitions (immigrant and nonimmigrant cases) before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), the National Visa Center (NVC), various U.S. Embassies abroad, and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Rahgozar served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Tracy Christopher of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas.
She also gained experience as a Law Clerk, doing compliance work for the Office of the General Counsel of the University of Houston Systems. Additionally, Ms. Rahgozar is also fluent in Farsi (Persian).
In her free time, Ms. Rahgozar provides pro bono assistance and legal help to indigent clients. She routinely volunteers with non-profit organizations such as Baker Ripley, Own the Dream, and Catholic Charities.
